Six months ago, back in October, we launched Fantasy World XD Beta as a new platform to turn community based gaming culture on its head. Through the valiant work of our dedicated team and fantastically loyal members, Fantasy World moved from being a lowly Final Fantasy message board fan site to a dedicated home for gamers who enjoy reading, writing and discussing our industry, and of course, the games.

However as the site stands now, it is still in reality, a lowly message board. Discounting the work by our staff to populate the front page with new and interesting content, and the great stuff produced by the Blog and Podcast team, Fantasy World XD doesn’t actually have a "key feature" designed to attract new users and to maintain old ones. It's just another message board.

I say this now because I'm proud to announce today that on 23rd March 2008 the Fantasy World Network will launch into Beta the "second half" of our site. The Editorials section will fulfil our promises from before the site launched, allowing you create the content, become the journalist and make the discussions around the topics and games that mean the most to you. Submit your articles, reviews or opinion peaces, have it read, rated and commented by the community and jump into the debate.

On March 23rd we will empower you to become one of the greatest video gaming communities on the web. From there, it’s up to you.

Gaming is fun. Gaming journalism should be, too.
